Most significantly, I have spent the better part of my life in the company of addicts afflicted by their disease. I know that by completing my education, I will be better able to help others who are struggling with severe addiction. As far as I can tell, a master’s degree in psychology is almost required for any professional path that starts with a bachelor’s in the subject.

While referencing undergraduate psychology students, Karen Huffman (2023) Psychology in Action 8th edition in his book indicated that it is expected that individuals graduating with a bachelor’s degree in psychology would have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of the field. Moreover, they discussed how the degree will help them in their personal life, academic pursuits, and professional endeavors. Despite my lack of resolve in choosing a major before reading this, I could not be happier with where my education is headed. At this point in my life, I feel like I am right where I am supposed to be.

If you have time management conflicts between these priorities, how will you decide where your time goes? My children come first in any time management issue, and if I still need to finish the other tasks, I will figure something out. Despite the obvious contrast between my top and bottom goals, I am often shocked by how difficult it may be to stick to those I have set for myself. At times, I’m either too indolent to do anything or too afraid to take any action. They would both make it harder for me to set priorities. In the event that I find myself falling back on unhelpful routines and habits that prevent me from getting anything done, I may go to my to-do list and make an appropriate adjustment.

I am aware that it is solely up to me to achieve my academic goals, particularly in this flexible learning setting. Keeping a list of my most pressing goals in a prominent location will act as a constant reminder of the things I should be focusing on. For starters, I should sort my responsibilities into urgent, significant, and less crucial categories. In the event that I get too preoccupied with completing a single task, I will seek assistance in order to regain the motivation to keep working toward my objectives.
