I think the Christian worldview promotes doing business in a particular way. The Bible shows that business and the Christian worldview work together by illustrating guidance, leadership, the benefits of unity, and the use of one’s gift to benefit others. Patagonia is a company that comes to mind that is operating successfully while espousing and maintaining a Christian worldview. Patagonia designs and sells outdoor clothing and gear while also practicing conscious capitalism. Patagonia pledges 1% of sales to environmental preservation and restoration, ensuring their materials are ethically sourced and clothing is made durable to reduce waste. They have also been working with factories to ensure that their products are produced under safe, fair, legal, and humane conditions which also includes ensuring that the workers are paid a living wage. A unique challenge Patagonia faces when ensuring workers who help produce their products is there is little data on wages and cost of living across different regions. To combat this challenge, they have been working with the Fair Labor Association to build the best method for gathering this data.
