  • Part 1: Your initial answer: Counts 15% of CPG grade: You will COMPARE and CONTRAST at least three Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) for your chosen topic.
    • You might say: “What for? Aren’t they all the same?”
    • ..the answer is … NO!! You will see that if you check a variety of resources, all considered peer-reviewed and reliable, that you might find “warring guidelines”.
    • You will compare, contrast, synthesize, summarize, and personally recommend what to do for your chosen topic.
    • What is your personal opinion of the clinical relevance and depth of information available at each of the sites – Balanced? Up to date? Helpful or just for research?
    • What would YOU tell your colleagues or classmates if they asked you what to do for an ACTUAL PATIENT? What if we stopped you in the hallway for a quick summary? You are making yourself a “mini-expert” on the topic.
