Competent leadership drives organizational success. Research shows that self-awareness, a central aspect of Emotional Intelligence, is more crucial for effective leadership than IQ or technical skills (Showry & Manasa, 2014). Self-awareness underpins managerial capability and predicts leadership effectiveness.
Requirements
This assignment consists of three parts:
- Complete the Personal Assessment of Management Skills (PAMS) tool located below. This tool will help you gauge your level of skill competence as a manager.
- Complete the Kolbe Assessment located below. This tool will help you measure your way of doing things. You only need to complete the free assessment. You will need to provide your email address. However, it is not necessary to check "Email" on the Marketing Permissions page.
- Which skills rated the lowest on the assessments?
- Which skills rated the highest on the assessments?
Prepare a 3–5-minute video (showing you talking or showing a PowerPoint presentation with you explaining each slide) explaining how you would use the strengths identified in your PAMS and Kolbe Assessment results. Be specific in your discussion.
Length: 3–5-minute video of yourself in Kaltura Video or of PowerPoint slides with audio narration.
References: Include a minimum of 2 scholarly resources.
