Overview
Read your selected case and apply the Wheeler and Bertram’s decision-making model to support your ethical decision-making regarding the case. Specifically, provide detailed documentation of your reasoning and rationale in relation to the following ethical decision-making steps in the Wheeler and Bertram’s decision-making model: Problem, Dilemma and Sub issues; Relevant Variables; and Personal Influences.
Case:
Mr. D is a 45-year-old husband and father whose own father recently exhausted all treatment options for the chronic heart failure with which he had lived for than a decade. As the eldest of four siblings, Mr. D. has power of attorney over his father’s affairs, for which he has assumed increasing responsibility as his dad has also begun showing signs of significant cognitive decline. As Mr. D and his siblings experience the anguish associated with losing their beloved father, Mr. D seeks your counseling services to address the extreme anxiety that he is experiencing over having to facilitate consensus among his conflicted siblings related to his dad’s end of life care. Some of his siblings want to administer the recommended dosages of morphine and benzodiazepines prescribed to support his dad’s comfort as death approaches. Mr. D, however, feels strongly that this would put him in the position of “playing God,” as he has read that this combination of drugs also hastens a patient’s death.
What is your approach to working with Mr. D?

For my scenario (applying Wheeler & Bertram’s model to a case), professors usually expect 2–3 pages double-spaced. That gives enough space to walk through the 8 steps without being overwhelming. NO A.I.
