After completing the Short Course, answer the following Essay questions.
Type the following questions into a Word Document (in bold) followed by your answer in regular font. Please submit the file as a Word.doc.
- Explain what size particles are the greatest health concern and where and when they are a problem.
- Identify how particle pollution exposure affects the cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
- Identify how particle pollution exposure can affect the general population.
- Identify how particle pollution exposure affects patients with cardiovascular or respiratory disease.
- Explain how the "Air Quality Index" can be used for advising patients on how to protect their health.
- Discuss a practical method to reduce exposure during high particle pollution events.
I expect a minimum of 1 reference in APA format per question. These questions are related to the training – but there are many different references in the training. While it is OK to cite the training as part of your reference, each question will require you to cite a separate page/section, or it may even be more appropriate to cite a secondary reference that is cited in the training (e.g., airnow.gov or American Heart Association websites or any one of these references).
Please be sure you review the syllabus on academic writing and essay question rubric before submitting any assignments.When responding to a question using a short essay you are required to submit a word document that cites references to support your analysis (minimum of 1 reference in an APA format). In general, Essay questions are an opportunity to demonstrate proficiency from completing weekly lessons, assigned readings, and your research. For most questions, a 250-word response to each question is sufficient. You will not be held to exactly that word count, but significant deviations (+/- 20%) should be avoided.
