Develop a relapse prevention plan for the client(s) identified in the Clinical Intervention 1 (REFER TO ATTACHED ESSAY) (THIS PREVENTION PLAN IS FOR THE CHARACTER RUE FROM EUPHORIA.)
To develop this plan, need to find (and cite) a peer reviewed article that discusses aftercare planning, or an article that discusses best care practices when working with clients who are in the cultural group that the “client” is a member of. You will also have to search the local community for additional culturally appropriate resources and referrals. (PLEASE NOTE THE CHARACTER IS A AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN, LOWER-MIDDLE CLASS --- THIS IS IMPORTANT)
Respond to each of the following questions based on the television show/film that you selected:
- What are the types of triggers that someone may experience when recovering from addiction?
- What social support system can you identify for the “client” in the show/film that would be most supportive of long-term recovery? Who could this client reach out to in the event that they are experiencing triggers for relapse?
- What are the best care practices for after-care planning that are discussed in the research, or what are the best care practices for working within the client’s cultural group that would be important for you to incorporate? This section will need to be cited appropriately in APA format.
- What culturally appropriate community-based resources would you refer this client to that may help support their long-term recovery?
- What other long-term treatment modalities, resources, or referrals would you recommend for this client as part of their after-care plan?
