Overview
This paper is still based on Paul Lockhart and maybe a little on the agency. This paper should be written in APA 7 format and ensure all questions are answered. I will provide a guide to help answer the questions. There is no page limit, but ensure the paragraphs each have 5 or more sentences and the body of the paper is well structured. Ensure to have the reference page and its in the APA 7 format.
Part 4: Intervention and Ethics Paper
(A) Describe the client’s goals and objectives using the SMART format; include a discussion of how the goals were formulated or identified.
- SMART Goals: (goals were identified using a goal sheet)
Secure occupancy within a rehab center within 30 days.
Identify a list of facilities within proximity that are currently accepting clients.
Be present for case management and participate in group classes.
Apply for Medicaid and SNAP benefits within two months.
Make an appointment with MHMR within three weeks.
(B) Citing the literature, provide rationale for selection of an evidence-based intervention strategy.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
* Exploration of the desired outcomes for the client’s treatment
- * Evaluation of the quality and relevance of research studies, meta-analyses, and systematic reviews.
* Consider the client’s unique characteristics, such as age, gender, cultural background, and comorbid conditions, and how SFBT aligns with these factors.
- * Discuss how SFBT can complement or integrate with the client’s current treatment plan or goals.
(C) Describe the practice theory supporting the selected intervention strategy.
- Cognitive Theory: what it is consisted of and how it supports the intervention.
(D) Describe the intervention strategy selected (from building rapport/engagement to termination) including three practice techniques used with the client. - Being an active listener

* Maintaining eye contact
* Having a good posture
(E) Discuss how the NASW Code of Ethics applies to Social Work practice, identifying and describing one or more potential (or experienced) ethical and values dilemma related to this practice situation.
*Ensuring cultural competence and social justice.
*Importance of the ethical standards and values outlined in the code.
(F) Explain what your process would be (or was) in resolving the dilemma.
