Overview
please respond to Paulina.
Thankfully no one in my family ever has diabetes, I am overall like to eat healthy and like to eat good food to keep my body moving and it is important when one has a full time job, has mental health issues like depression, anxiety and for those who are parents.
I think we need to read labels as we have learn in this class and understand what they are putting in our food and it can be very high sugar and also artificial sugar, how dangerous it is the amount we consume and practice moderation. There has to be a key of balance in what we eat and also exercise. I like to change my idea of what exercise is, it should be a daily check in for our body and give it a tune up daily, can be going for walks 3 times a week (add a person or a family dog to join and build a bond), stretching daily and throughout the day, waking up and a quick lay in bed workout to get the blood moving through your veins. Working out doesn't mean get a 6 pack, it can be simple and mean to stay alive and help you get through your day.
I join a gym and it was to force me to get out of the house, out of my comfort zone and move my body and feel good and if I had a risk of getting diabetes, I would take on that challenge and treat my body better, eat better, save my limbs because the risk of getting diabetes and not taking care of it can be deadly.
