Social Science Question

Overview

The Course Capstone Project is a research and analysis project sustained throughout the course. You are expected to complete work on your Course Capstone Project each week. In this final week, the product of your research and analysis will be a 6- to 8-page framework of a written community health needs assessment that involves identifying and researching opioid addiction within a specific population.

Review the Course Capstone Overview from Week 1 before you begin.

For this assignment, you will need to identify the population and service area, data collection techniques, how community members will be involved in the assessment, and factors contributing to the problem. You will outline program ideas and evaluation methods that align with the data you have gathered, including community involvement. You will present your findings and recommendations and consider how your plan might impact program planning.

  • Describe the methods to be used in analyzing the primary and secondary data to address epidemiological, sociological, and other data for your population.
  • How do you intend to pull out the relevant information to inform program planning?
