This module examined the works of feminist, critical race, and queer/LGBTQ theorists from different historical periods. For this seminar paper, select either seminar topic A or seminar topic B and analyze it using critical race theory, feminist theory, and/or theories of gender and sexuality.
As you conduct your analysis:
- Identify the theorists that you are using in your analysis and explain how the theories inform your understanding of the topic.
- Is there a relationship between race/gender/sexuality and power in your analysis?
- Has your theoretical analysis changed your understanding of this topic? Is so, how?
Please remember that this assignment is a case analysis using social theory concepts and perspectives that you have explored in this course. This is not a personal opinion editorial. Your seminar paper should be 5 - 7 pages in length, double-spaced, 12 point font, using APA format. Once you have posted your essay in the drop box, please then copy it in the discussion form.
