POWERPOINT PRESENTATION ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW
You will select a specific traumatology topic delimited by a traumatic event (e.g. disaster, violence, combat, sexual assault, etc.), a trauma-related diagnosis (e.g. acute stress disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder), or a specific trauma treatment. Prepare a scholarly PowerPoint Presentation Assignment on this topic, intended for an audience of emerging trauma counselors.
INSTRUCTIONS
Please include the following components in your PowerPoint Presentation Assignment:
The PowerPoint Presentation Assignment must include at least 40 slides (not including bibliography slides). These should be on a visually appealing background with appropriate amounts of text and include illustrations in the form of cartoons, drawings, charts, graphs, pictures, film clips, etc. on each slide.
Cite all sources, including websites, in current APA format on the slides (in text or in the presenter’s notes/footnotes), as well as compiled on the last few slides.
Reference should be made in the PowerPoint Presentation Assignment to at least 10 scholarly articles published within the last five years, in addition to any textbooks, the Bible, and professional or popular sources.
Text should not be smaller than 20 point, including in the references.
If appropriate to the topic, an overview with definitions, incidence rates, types (of perpetrators/victims as relevant), harm or danger involved, possible spiritual factors, symptoms, assessment, diagnosis and treatment options should be included.

GRADING RUBRIC REQUIREMENT

**All images are appropriate to the topic. Images are present on every slide. Layout of images is pleasing to the eye. Background is varied and pleasing to the eye.
**Assignment is presented with appropriate headings and organizational clarity. The assignment reflects correct APA form Clear transitions between paragraphs and sections. Paper meets the page length.
**The assignment is without spelling and grammar errors. Paper uses current APA style. Correct headings, in-text citations, and references. The assignment reflects a graduate level voice and vocabulary.
**The Reference page meets or exceeds the required number of sources. All sources are referenced throughout the paper. All references meet current APA standards.
