PABLO PICASSO’S FOR GUERNICA
Artist creates designs using different techniques like lines, shapes, texture, color and light and darkness, spaces etc. He used lines to shows positions . Lines are straight ,curvy and wavy showing movements and positions in the artwork. He used some flat shapes and 3D forms that helping to focus our attention and creates balance in painting. He added texture that how things look like rough or smooth.It adds interest and making designs more lifelike. He used technique of light and dark to make painting’s design stand out and look very realistic .It feels very dramatic. Colors he used shows a lot of emotions in painting and draws a lot of attention.He used colors to highlight certain areas that matches with mood also. Artist creates a sense of space making some things look closer or farther away. These all techniques work together to create one design that makes me feel something like a story with a lot of emotions and moods in painting .
Pablo Picasso thought drawing was important because it let him try different ideas and shapes. Drawing helped him understand what he is creating and make his art more interesting and valuable. Before deciding design he went through different parts of a picture.This picture helped him create his unique style with a lot of shapes and angles.
In Guernica, Picasso’s design shows the pain and horror of war. He uses some broken shapes , lines and dark colors to create powerful ,sad images like a crying mother, injured sick horse and a soldier who is fallen.These all make us feel the sadness, fear ,crying ad suffering .Picasso designed Guernica to protect war and he showed his desire of peace .He showed how much peace is important if you see this painting deeply.
