Overview
The Leadership Portfolio will allow learners to demonstrate their understanding of the 9 NSLS Principles and Behaviors of Leadership Framework by applying module concepts to their own leadership style. In Module One, learners will complete an activity titled, "Aligning Purpose with Passion and Values." In this activity, creating and then combining passion and value statements will help you define your purpose as a leader, and promote those behaviors in others. In Module Two, learners will complete an activity titled, "Combining Emotional Intelligence (EQ) And Growth Mindset." In this activity, learners will review components of Emotional Intelligence and Growth Mindset and will evaluate how the elements provided in the diagram have impacted their future or past leadership approach. In Module Three, learners reviewed the importance of grit, resilience, and optimism. Now, learners will share their own resilience stories. In Module Four, learners identified ways unconscious biases can affect decision-making as well as leadership effectiveness. In this activity, learners will reflect on common bias categories and then develop unbiasing guidelines for themselves to follow. To begin, turn to the page titled, "Unbiasing Guidelines" in your Leadership Portfolio document. In Module Five, learners will complete the "Leader Action Roundtable" activity. Learners will review information about each organization, and will then rate them according to the provided matrix. They will then explain their decision-making process.
