The 5 key ways to reduce chemical hazards are

1. Avoid Harmful Chemicals - What we can do to reduce the chemical hazards is use a safer product or a safer process for the client and us. An example of a safer process is using tongs or gloves instead of bare hands to remove disinfected tools from the disinfectant solution.

2. Isolate the Work Process - With isolating the work process what we can do differently is work away from other people. An example would be going into a room to mix the chemicals and not being worried about the fumes upsetting your coworkers or other clients in the room.

3. Use Good Ventilation - Ventilation is a system that either removes harmful chemicals from the air before individuals can breathe them in or supplies enough fresh air to dilute the harmful chemicals in the air.

4. Work in a Safe Way - Working in a safe place with chemicals means that all future professionals should follow certain guidelines called safe work practices, it is a good idea for the establishment to set up written dos and don'ts for every process using chemicals.

5. Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Utilizing Personal Protective Equipment is any piece of equipment that can shield any individual from any harmful chemicals that might cause a certain reaction to us.
