Overview
Format of Journal Entries
1. Use Microsoft Word or text software recognized by Word.
2. It is preferable to use only one (1) Word document and add each entry to this document as you progress. However, if you wish to have a separate document for each Unit, that is acceptable.
3. This is an informal document, no need to use a formal writing style. You don't need to worry about complete sentences, but do insert paragraphs or spacing between major ideas. (Warning: I DISLIKE one-page paragraphs in any writing).
4. No need to use APA.
5. Length of entries:
1 to 2 pages of substantive writing per entry, single spaced. You don't have to address every point of information from the chapter, just what seems important. I'm not implying that each and every chapter will have major relevance to you. But I think you will find you have reactions to the materials--positive, negative, neutral. Focus on these reactions and the underlying reasons for them.
