My name is Jose, and this is my first semester studying photography. I originally got interested in photography because I love capturing moments that tell a story or show emotion in a way that words can’t. Over time, I’ve developed a passion for both portrait and landscape photography, and I’m excited to continue learning new techniques and improving my style.
My goals in photography are to eventually work professionally—possibly in editorial, commercial, or travel photography. I’d also love to build a strong personal portfolio that reflects who I am as an artist.
Some of my favorite photographers are Annie Leibovitz for her incredible portrait work and Steve McCurry, especially his use of color and emotion in storytelling (his Afghan Girl photo is one of my favorites). I also follow a lot of contemporary photographers on Instagram who inspire me daily.
Outside of photography, I enjoy [your hobbies—like hiking, painting, gaming, reading, or playing music], which often tie into the types of photos I like to take. I’ve also done a few shoots for friends and local events, and I’m always looking for opportunities to grow my experience.
