Overview
You are the COO of the company you chose. Your CEO has asked you to perform in-depth research in order to ascertain the major threats to the existence of your company and formulate a plan for how to change the company to help it not just survive, but thrive in the future. The CEO would like a memo that is a minimum of 10 pages detailing the following: 1) The cultural factors that are driving the change in your industry; 2) The largest threats to the existence of the company; 3) Your recommendations for how to change the company (including what products/services to shed and which, if any, should be added); and 4) A step-by-step plan for how to effect that change in the company [Note: The CEO has recently read a book by John Kotter called Leading Change, and suggests that you use his 8-step model of change as a part of section 4 of this memo, which should make up the bulk of your memo]. He would like you to cite to at least 8 sources outside the books you are reading for the class. Above all, this is your chance to save the company, so make a compelling case!
