Chapter 6 covers Other Types of Writing. Report writing takes a lot of different activities. There are memos, public communication, letters, and records of meetings. Most writing in law enforcement, security, or corrections is chronological. For this week's discussion, pretend you are a probation or parole officer. Write briefly about the background of a man or woman up for consideration. Give your recommendation for granting or refusing probation or parole (make up his original crime and background).
