Write a 1500-2000-word self-assessment based on your therapist role-play.
Your paper should include the following sections:
Treatment Overview and SSF-5 Clinical Skill Evaluation
Use at least three current (within the past ten years) scholarly peer-reviewed journal articles to provide an overview of the CAMS model and the SSF-5 in clear and rich detail.
Explain how the specific skills you used in the role-play as you completed the SSF-5 with the client (empathy, reflection, clarification, collaboration, alliance-building, directiveness, etc.) fit into the CAMS model. Provide verbatim examples from the role-play of at least three of these skills. Evaluate your effectiveness and competency in demonstrating these clinical skills to the client. Identify at least two strengths and at least two areas for potential improvement based on your demonstration of these clinical skills.
Treatment Planning and Stabilization
Describe your effectiveness in communicating future plans to the client, including follow-up sessions and developing the SSF-5 treatment plan and stabilization plan. Provide at least three verbatim examples of the treatment and stabilization planning tasks you accomplished during the session. Evaluate your effectiveness and competency in developing these plans with the client. Identify at least two strengths and at least two areas for potential improvement based on your demonstration of treatment and stabilization planning.

(1) At least three current, scholarly journal articles are used to provide a richly detailed overview of the CAMS model and the SSF-5; (2) at least three verbatim examples from the role-play are provided of specific skills and techniques (empathy, reflection, clarification, collaboration, alliance-building, directiveness, etc.) used to engage the client; (3) personal clinical effectiveness and competency are evaluated; (4) two strengths of the skill demonstration are discussed; (5) two areas for improvement in the skill instruction are discussed.
