Overview
The summative assessment for the module is a 2,500-word essay with Chicago style and footnotes. The question to answer is this:
- In what ways do key maritime and air theorists agree on strategic principles and why?
- Word Limit For written assessments your assessor will apply a 1% mark deduction if an essay exceeds the word limit by up to 2% of the word limit, and a further mark penalty of 1% will be applied for every 2% increment by which essay exceeds the word limit - this penalty will be applied down to the pass mark of 50. The mark for essays that exceed the word limit by more than 10% will be capped at 50. For example, for an essay with a 2500 word limit, if you write between 2551 and 2600 words, you would lose 1%; and a further 1% mark reduction for every 2% increment by which the essay exceeds the limit.
