Hi there,
My Name is Ernesto, this is actually my first year in college. This art class will be the first of many I will be taking this year, so I am definitely new to learning about art in a school setting.
I am also interested in what this art history class has to offer, because I want to really understand how art can actually connect to the individual's life and history around the world. Since a kid I have always seen art as something creative, but I now want to learn why people create art, also what it meant to them at the time they created the artwork, and how it shows their culture and experiences.
While in this class, I hope to learn about the different types of visual art, how art can change over time periods, and how it actually tells the stories of human development and its expression. I am also excited to learn something new and see art in a different way this semester.
