Overview
In addition to the DSM-5-TR and the Learning Resources, use the Walden Library to find at least three scholarly, peer-reviewed resources that you will use to support your Discussion post. Your Discussion post should be a minimum of 500 words.
For the disorder assigned, identify and explain the following:
- Two risk factors (what would contribute to developing this order) and two protective factors (what could help a person be less likely to develop this order)
- Prevalence (how frequently this disorder occurs)
- At least one cultural consideration
- Differential diagnoses
- Comorbidities
- Special considerations for conducting a telehealth diagnostic assessment of this specific disorder
- A description of any unique aspects or special considerations of this disorder
- For Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar II Disorder: risk of harm to self or others, risk of suicidality
- For Bipolar II Disorder, contrast the criteria with that of Bipolar I Disorder
- For social anxiety, contrast the criteria with that of the general features Bipolar Disorder
- Diagnostic specifiers that may apply (e.g., “mild, moderate, severe,” or “with [x] features”
- Put the name of your disorder in the first line of your post.
- Cite your resources; use APA format.
