this is my professor's feedback for my outline:
Essay Plan: 6/8
Your plan seems to touch more on why the distinguishing matters rather than what role the distinctions should play in scientific methodology. The structure is easy to follow and the inclusion of objections and responses strengthens the critical engagement with the topic. The discussion demonstrates a solid understanding of why confusion between sex and gender may create methodological problems in scientific research. However, the argument would benefit from engaging more directly with the wording of the essay question itself. At present, the plan sometimes shifts toward explaining why sex and gender are different or why conflation is problematic, rather than fully arguing what role the distinction should have within scientific studies and how this role should be justified methodologically. Some sections remain more descriptive than argumentative and could push further into defending the normative implications of the position being advanced. With tighter conceptual framing and slightly greater argumentative precision, this could develop into a strong essay.
