Hello! My name is Michelle, and lots of friends and family usually call me Michi.
I am taking this course because I would love to learn more about ocean life! I am a huge bug lover, and I love to see some sea life that looks like the bugs on land, which makes me curious about what else lies in the oceans. My major is Liberal Arts: Arts & Humanities, and I am planning on teaching young children as well as writing childrens' books. I believe this class would be a great experience for me to learn more fun things about the ocean so that I can hopefully add some fun ocean facts to the books I plan on writing in the future. Right now, I am not working, but I have hope that I will soon be employed. Right now, I am living with my grandmother and I help her take care of her 20 something chickens and her 4 dogs. I do have some experience doing online courses, but I am completely new to Canvas. Luckily, my older sister is already used to all of it, so she has been helping me navigate everything. I would say I learn a lot better when I get to physically take notes or draw diagrams, VARK said my learning style is multimodal-VK. Apart from school, I have lots of different hobbies like pinning and framing bugs, drawing, and recently I have been trying to relearn how to play my clarinet that I have had since elementary school. Anyways, I am very excited to see how this course will go!!
