Assignment Title: Lazy Sundae franchise
This is an individual assignment, please ensure your submission is entirely your own work.
You have been allocated a town in the UK. Choose your town / city from the ‘Select Your City’ area on Moodle. You will need to research on your selected town and find its most recent population figures available.
You have become aware of an opportunity to open Lazy Sundae, an ice-cream sundae franchise in your UK town. Your initial analysis of the market has given you confidence that there is demand from the town’s residents and you are keen to start the business as soon as possible.
You have located an appropriate property in the town but do not have the finance immediately available to cover the set-up costs. Considering the time to prepare the business for opening, you assume you will begin trading on 1st January 2025.
You will need a costings plan to support a finance application to set up and trade in your Lazy Sundae franchise. You will specialise in takeaway ice-cream sundae sales as you have identified a gap in the market. Your costing plan will consist of a multi-page Excel workbook containing Tasks 1 – 4, as detailed below.
Please note that the only product you will sell will be one type of ice-cream sundae. You will not be selling any other items. This is to ensure that the tasks required do not become unduly complicated. Personal note: I've attached the assessment brief below which contains all the requirements and rubric/marking scheme needed. The brief contains information about other assessments but this question is only for the "Lazy Sundae" portion. I will also attach all the workbooks and solutions from each week throughout the semester. If any additional details are required please let me know. We are supposed to use excel "shortcuts" with things like the =sum(P6,U6) and stuff like that. The town I picked is called Tadley in the UK. The population is 14,758, and the Sales Factor is 10%, we are also expected to use graphs but all this is outlined in the assessment brief. I know I put the time as 2 days but I would prefer if you could get it done ASAP. Appreciate it so much.
