week 4 journal

Overview

The journals in this course will help you reflect on your experiential learning opportunity during the module. While your work plan lists what you did, your journal is a place to reflect on your actions and what you learned from your experience. You will also post screenshots to show samples of your work. Journals are an opportunity to discuss any experiences, including where you think you might need to adjust your original work plan and why, as well as any problems you ran into and how you resolved them or plan to resolve them in future modules. Finally, the journals will assist you with the project, which is a final experiential report and presentation.

Directions

Reflect on your experiential learning opportunity by answering the following questions and providing screenshots.

Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:

  1. Overview: Provide an overview of tasks and key activities (training, discussions, labs, assessments, etc.).
    1. What activities were you engaged in this week?
    2. What are some details about your engagement?
  2. Reflection: Reflect on the activities completed and any changes implemented.
    1. How did the activities you were involved in demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and abilities in meeting your selected program competencies?
    2. Have you implemented any changes in your approach to interpersonal communication, collaboration, project/time management, or other aspects because of your experiences?
  3. Problem-solving/Self-evaluation: Through the process of self-evaluation, identify any problems and resolutions.
    1. Describe key challenges (problems, issues, etc.) you encountered during the current week as they relate to your experiential learning activity.
    2. Describe how you identified/evaluated options for handling those challenges.
    3. Describe how you resolved/overcame the challenge(s).
    4. What aspects of prior coursework and/or work experiences helped you in identifying/evaluating options and developing resolutions?
    5. Were there any aspects of the situation(s)—either the problems themselves or the resolutions/outcomes—that were contrary to your assumptions or expectations based on what you have learned during coursework?
    6. What did you learn because of this experience? What might you do differently in the future to either minimize the chance of occurrence or to resolve/overcome problems?
  4. Screenshots: Illustrate tasks performed within the software technology in this module. Include the following:
    1. 3 to 5 screenshots
