Research Proposal o Identify a research question that interests you. o Clearly state your hypothesis. o Describe the data you plan to use (source, type, sample size). o Outline the methods you will apply (regression analysis, hypothesis testing, time series modeling, etc.). 2. Data Collection & Cleaning o Obtain and clean your dataset. o Provide summary statistics and exploratory data analysis. o Identify and handle missing data, outliers, or other potential issues. 3. Methodology & Analysis o Choose an appropriate statistical technique (e.g., regression, machine learning, causal inference). o Justify why this method is appropriate for your research question. o Implement the analysis using R (code must be submitted). 4. Results & Interpretation o Present tables, graphs, and key findings. o Explain the economic or business implications of your results. o Discuss limitations and potential biases. 5. Final Paper o Length: 12 pages, double-spaced, with standard margins. o Format: APA citation style. o Include sections: Introduction, Literature Review, Data & Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion. 6. Presentation o 10-minute oral presentation. o Use slides with clear visuals and key findings. o Engage with the audience and be prepared for questions. Evaluation Criteria (25% of Final Grade) • Clarity of Research Question (15%) • Data Collection & Cleaning (10%) • Correct Application of Methods (25%) • Interpretation of Results (20%) • Writing Quality & Organization (10%) • Presentation Delivery & Engagement (20%)
