It includes a presentation of the company, an examination of the fraud's perpetrators, methods and motivations, red flags, auditor and management responsibilities, the impact on market value, and recommendations for enhancing transparency and internal controls.

Good evening, I am sending more information Proposed Work Structure I - Brief presentation of the company: nature and scope of activities, sector of activity and basic financial data of the company. - Employees involved in the fraud scheme: Number of individuals involved in the fraud, positions held in the hierarchy of the enterprise and key motivations for committing the fraud. - Analysis of the fraud scheme: Description and categorisation of the fraud scheme, duration of the fraud, key weaknesses in the firm's internal control and corporate governance systems, method (manner) of disclosure, significance of the financial impact on the firm, impact on employees involved in the fraud and other third parties, etc. - Main conclusions: Summary of work and possible recommendations for improving the firm's internal controls and corporate governance systems. Each group should prepare a paper of about 2,000 words and a powerpoint presentation file of about 15 slides and submit it electronically to the appropriate e-class area by Sunday 1 June. Students should describe in detail the accounting fraud scheme, categorise it, report on the perpetrators and their used unfair and illegal practices, report on the red flags (indications of fraud), comment on whether these used metrics are based on accounting or non-accounting information, discuss the responsibilities of management, internal and external auditors, study the impact of the SEC lawsuit on the company and its stock price from the publication of these categories, report on the reactions of the international financial press, discuss whether accounting misstatements caused material misstatement of the financial statements, etc. Students are invited to download the SEC Complaints and SEC Orders, presented in the upper right-hand portion of the press release webpage by clicking on the excel file link. It will be appreciated if students use multiple sources of information from the internet in addition to the SEC lawsuits, as well as references to the key financials of the companies. All cases refer to recent actual events. Therefore, I would like to think that you will enjoy this challenge to engage with real companies and examine the role that the SEC plays in detecting accounting fraud in modern stock markets
