Hi, I have a business case assignment for my Advanced Accounting course about Velocity Systems, a logistics company. The case focuses on three main parts:
- Investment Evaluation – We need to calculate the Net Present Value (NPV) for a proposal to buy electric long-haul trucks and assess whether the investment is financially and strategically viable.
- Operations Optimization – Analyze data from a warehouse to suggest the best product mix under loading time constraints and recommend ways to improve efficiency.
- Indigenous Partnership – Build a balanced scorecard for a proposed joint venture with the Neskonlith First Nation and consider how to measure both financial and social success.

Management Compensation – Compare three performance-based pay models (ROI, RI, and a strategic scorecard) and recommend the best one using the given financial data.
Some additional information:All calculations should be performed in Excel and the written response in Word... so yes, you will upload BOTH your Excel and Word files. A general best practice is size 12 font and 1.15 or 1 spacing (not double!) and consider tabs in Excel for each unique quantitative deliverable.In terms of length, I am not giving parameters here as I am looking for you to apply professional judgement for how much detail they think would suit the needs of the reader! Draft a response to meet the needs of the case and don't worry about page/word count.There are some items that might be unclear... make an assumption, clearly note it, and move on.
