Lab Insight: Complete the Alt Lab by using steps similar to original Lab 3-1 in the text. Open Tableau or Power BI, and connect to Excel File Alt_Lab_3-1_Data.xlsx below. The 3-1 Alt Data is purchasing data rather than sales, so instead of working with Sales Order Quantity Sold, you will work with Quantity Purchased, and instead of working with Products, you will work with Raw Materials.
Required:
- Adjust the data types as necessary.
- Aggregate the sum and then the average of all purchase orders (quantity).
- Subtotal the purchase orders by average across raw materials.
