Overview

Project Purpose

This project applies key concepts learned in this course—how financial information can be used to demonstrate a state government’s accountability through financial statement analysis and financial condition assessment—to an actual government: the State of California. You will extract, calculate, interpret, and evaluate indicators using the State’s FY 2023–24 ACFR.

Your work must be entirely your own. You may use only your calculated ratios, the ACFR, and the textbook. Use of any additional external resources may result in no credit.
