Audit Analytics Project
In this individual project, you will perform analytical procedures on a company's financial statements to identify potential audit risks. You will analyze four specific accounts, draft a professional audit memo, and document your use of AI tools throughout the process.
What you'll need:
- The project instructions document (embedded in this link)
- The financial statements Excel file (embedded in this link)Download (embedded in this link)
- Access to a generative AI tool (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)
What you'll submit: One Word document (.docx only) containing three sections in this order:
- Audit Memo — one page maximum, single-spaced (80 points)
- AI Interaction Log — all prompts and outputs in text (10 points)
- AI Reflection — half-page maximum (10 points)
Mac users: if you use Apple Pages, export your file as .docx before submitting (File → Export To → Word).
Formatting: 11-point Calibri or Times New Roman, single-spaced, 1-inch margins.
Time estimate: Plan for approximately 3–5 hours, including data analysis, AI interaction, drafting, and revision.
