AAGTO Chapter 3: Prevailing Accounting Standards and Accounting Entries for Takaful Operators.
Course Learning Outcomes:
1.3: Summarize the accounting and reporting implications of investments, fair value measurement, prevailing accounting entries, including their impact on Takaful financial statements
3.1: Demonstrate ethical responsibility and professional judgment in applying accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and Shariah principles when analyzing and distributing financial results in the Takaful industry.

Presentation topics
The students are required to select an appropriate topic from the AAGTO Chapter 3: Prevailing Accounting Standards and Accounting Entries for Takaful Operators.
Referring to CS, following could be one sample of a presentation topic:
“Analyzing and distributing financial results in the Takaful industry, for example, Saudi-listed company financial statements”
The following are the Major topics covered in the chapter:
1) Financial Reporting Requirements for Takaful Operations
2) The minimum disclosure requirements for takaful operators
3) AAOIFI FAS 12 seven elements
4) Journal Entries for Transactions Involved in Takaful
1. The students are required to read the pdf “Presentation Instructions and Rubric” carefully and follow the guidelines to prepare the presentation.
2. The students are required to read the “presentation details” for other details.
3. The student must submit their presentation in the prescribed “Presentation Form” (ppt template). None of the other ppt design will be accepted.
4. The students are required to submit their presentation, before the releasing deadline (week 10), on the Blackboard under the given presentation column, provided by the instructor.
