Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay Cycles
Overview
In this module you will begin preparing yourself for the Portfolio Project that is due in Module 8. As part of that project, you will make a presentation regarding the Order-To-Cash and Procure-To-Pay processes, based on data analysis that you will be completing in this module. To prepare you to complete this analysis, we will be discussing both of these processes with a particular focus on the segregation of duties that are key in the detection and prevention of fraud.
Objectives
By the end of this module you will be able to:
- Describe the sales order and order fulfillment processes.
- Discuss the billing and cash collections processes.
- Explain the purchase order and receive inventory processes.
- Describe the receiving and paying invoice processes.
This Portfolio Milestone will involve you organizing the data and creating the visualizations that will serve as the foundation for the data analysis that you will be presenting in your Portfolio Project. There are two parts to this Portfolio Milestone:
- Build a dashboard for the Order-To-Cash Process using Power BI in Excel.
- Build a dashboard for the Procure-To-Pay Process using Tableau.
