Of the various artwork presented within the modules my favorite would have to be "The Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh. What captivated the true essence of this painting was the external aspects. This painting was done by Vince Van Gogh when he was in an asylum at Saint-Rèmy-de-Provence during the 1800s, many say the painting was done through Van Gogh's window. During his time Van Gogh was not permitted the essential paint in his room, although he was given a separate room to work where the master piece had happened. Vincent Van Gogh was experiencing a troubling medical condition of psychiatric illness of depression and various other symptoms (Wolf). Many say that his illness was an essential aspect since he had taken lithium carbonate which is a drug that dampened his creative ability (Wolf). The painting with the internal aspects have intrigued my perspective due to the oil having a beautiful sight with color that blends in contrast with both blue and yellow throughout this canvas. The details specifically of each part are greater due to the absolute significance of the strokes with his brush on the sky and the sun which are the most eye appealing that there is merely a mistake to be aware of. The strokes are very thick with this painting which expresses a real array of the color giving the illusion that the art is moving, specifically the sky in my opinion. Whats the most captivating essence is that the work is painted in a circular motion. The blue oil is even used in a way that expresses the work in a bright but calm feeling which is not always done with the color blue due to it being the expression of more dark feelings, when I see Van Gogh's painting It make me feel happy.
