Overview
Create an Outline of what you plan to work on during the quarter. The outline should layout concepts you are invested in exploring in depth over an extended period of time. Start by answering a few questions with multiple answers/lists for each:
- Are there any recurrent themes in your work?
- Where, what, how do you draw/visualize? What is a primary go-to visual language for you?
- Where do you look for ideas for inspiration, both in past work? and an imagined future?
- How would you describe your “process”? Can you imagine varied new approaches that could open possibilities in your work?
- Where might be some interesting locations to immerse yourself in order to think differently about space and site? How might the specificity of a site act as a potential collaborator?
- Read: “Teaching Notes: 4-Dimensional Design” by Paul Thek and choose to answer in some depth another 3 questions that you feel are most compelling and revealing about your own art. You can answer in writing or drawing.
