1. For your "art project" today you must :
1. Choose a painting/ print/ photograph or drawing from the National Gallery (Links to an external site.)
2. Appropriate a portion of the art piece in order to change the meaning of the art piece
3. Write about what you did:
A. What was the title of the original painting. Give 2-3 sentences on the original painting and its history.
B. How did you change it? Screen shot? Photograph using a phone? How did you decided how to appropriate it?
C. How does the simple act of taking part of an art piece out of its original context have a transformative effect?
