Project 4: Living Artist Profile (100 points) The purpose of this project is to highlight the work of a living, contemporary artist. Choose any living artist (your textbook can be a good source but you may choose from other well-known artists) and write a 5-page report. The only restriction is that the artist must be alive and currently working as a professional artist. This is not a copy and paste assignment. You are expected to write all of the text information in your own words. Page 1 is the artist's brief biography with a picture of the artist. Page 2 is an explanation and general description of the artist's work (for instance, what movement or style do they fit in?), with at least one image of a defining work of art (what they are best known for creating). Pages 3 and 4 should have at least two pictures on each page of your artist's work, labeled with the titles of the works, date of completion and medium used. Please choose the best resolution images you can find. In all, a total of six minimum required images (includes the four listed above, the defining work on page 2, and the artist's picture on the first page). Extra information and images will be considered for possible bonus points. Page 5 is your Resources page. At least three resources are required, but one may be the artist's own website. |
