Guidelines
Students are responsible for completing discussion posts and peer replies per each section within each unit (module) in this course. When crafting discussion posts and peer responses, use specific examples to support all claims and provide context for the time period. Discussion prompts will be related to that section’s topic. Supplemental videos, readings, and information from the lectures are to be used when drafting the posts and responding to peers. Three to five quality and thoughtful sentences to explain your thoughts, ideas, opinions, and knowledge will be considered sufficient.
You may choose to address one of the following prompts.

In what ways did the Modernist art of the later 19th-century break from the past? Provide and discuss at least ONE specific example.
Discuss the work of the Symbolists; what were their key interests and how did they convey their interests via the content of their paintings? Provide and discuss at least ONE specific example.
What would you consider the most important breakthrough in architecture? Provide and discuss at least ONE specific example.
