Overview
I'm working on a art writing question and need the explanation and answer to help me learn.
The images below represent political power in their own respective cultures. Compare and contrast the images with each other and explain how they represent political power.
Begin by introducing each image. What is it, and what culture/period does it belong to? Then continue with a short formal analysis of each image. Describe what they look like and compare them stylistically to each other. How do they appear similar, and what are some visual differences?
Follow this with comparing and contrasting their functions. Think about the historical context of each image. What was it used for? How was it used? What was its purpose? Compare the function of all three images with eachother. How were they used similarly vs what are some differences in how they are used.
