Overview
For your Final Research Project, you are asked to create a 10-12 minute Artist Case-Study
presentation. Alongside this recorded presentation, you are required to write a well researched
outline. Your written outline must include a minimum of 5 cited sources and a minimum of
1,500 words. Your video presentation will include a minimum of 20 images/videos to support

For the Artist Case Study Project, you are asked to analyze the work of 1 artist in relationship
to at least 2 space/place concepts from our weekly readings and discussions. You may
choose any artist, including (but not limited to) those we’ve discussed in class. At least 1
course reading must be referenced as theoretical support for your analysis. This is a research
project in which you are using independent research and course material to analyze the role of
space & place in the artist’s production. Through your final presentation, you will be teaching
your classmates about your artists work & process in relationship to 2+ topics from class.
