Overview
We will now explore this concept of modernism by researching artists working today that you believe capture life in 2022 United States (even Southern California specifically). Your chosen artist can work in any medium of the visual arts field, including film.
- Research a contemporary (our own current time) artist today (2020 to present), working in any medium, that you believe depicts the here and now in their compositions. Choose one work by this artist to share with your group by embedding an image in your reply. If this work is in film, please provide a link to a short clip, or embed a film still.
- Write a well-edited paragraph (5-8 sentences) that describes your chosen artist and artwork. Explain your choice and why it is an effective depiction of contemporary life.
