Overview
In lieu of a physical class today, you will be doing bilateral drawing, which involves using both hands simultaneously to create art. This is a form of expressive arts that helps individuals access and integrate different parts of their brain, fostering creativity and emotional expression. This technique can be particularly therapeutic, as it encourages a free flow of thoughts and feelings through the act of drawing.
Instructions for this bilateral drawing activity:
You will need:
- Several pieces of paper (copy paper is good, as well as larger paper if you happen to have some)
- Tape
- At least two different drawing utensils, preferably different colors. You can use markers, crayons, colored pencils, etc.
Please watch the demonstration video, and then create one drawing each of symmetrical and asymmetrical drawing.
You may choose to use one of the songs listed here, or any other music that you find soothing (for symmetrical drawing) or energizing (for asymmetrical drawing)

NOW........upload photos of your drawings, as well as a short description of the process and experience for you (Minimum of a paragraph, 5-7 sentences for each experience).
For example; did you like one of the activities over the other? Did you find yourself calming down or getting more energized? Did you choose to listen to music while you did this? If so, what did you listen to and how do you feel it enhanced the experience, if at all?
