Overview
Hey, I need your help with my Week 1 history assignment. I pasted the full assignment instructions and uploaded all the readings as PDFs, so everything you need is there.
Assignment instructions:
You only need to answer ONE of the prompts below — you can choose whichever one you think is easier:
- what details were most surprising to you in this week's readings? Why?
- give three examples from the texts of ways in which ordinary people offered resistance to rule, new or old
How to approach it:
If you choose prompt 1:
- Pick 1–2 interesting or surprising details from the readings
- Explain what they are and why they stood out
- Keep it more reflective and opinion-based
If you choose prompt 2:
- Find 3 clear examples of resistance (protests, riots, petitions, etc.)
- Briefly explain each one
- Then explain how each shows resistance to authority
General requirements (for either prompt):
- Keep it around 1–2 paragraphs (not long)
- Use ideas/details from the PDFs
- Don’t just summarize — explain the meaning
- Write in a natural, human way (like a student), not overly formal
Very important: I already tested a response on GPTZero and it flagged as AI, so this needs to pass AI detection. Please check it here before sending it back: https://app.gptzero.me/documents/5aa2e465-8a32-40bf-900f-176ea4a79dd4
Make sure it avoids:
- repetitive phrasing
- overly perfect structure
- robotic tone
Just keep it clear, simple, and realistic.
