Information Literacy: The TRAP Test
Information literacy skills are fundamental to today’s society and go beyond writing good assignments or research papers. Your ability to find, use, and evaluate information is a lifelong skill that you will practice in your academic career, apply in your work, and use in life in general. These skills will allow you to be an informed member of the information age.
For this SLP assignment, you will apply your learning from TriSuccess Section 3.8. You will evaluate a job listing using the TRAP method to determine the legitimacy of the information by evaluating its timeliness (T), relevance (R), authority (A), and purpose (P). Lastly, you will provide your thoughts on conclusions you can draw about the credibility and legitimacy of this job listing.
