Go to www.nytimes.com and choose an article that interests you.
Part 1: Essay
Your Essay must include:
- One paragraph summary of the article’s main idea
- A thesis statement that takes a position on the validity of the writer’s claim
- A 1–2 page response supporting your thesis. Your response should focus on the specific points the writer makes (not just the topic in general).
Part 2: Self-Review
In a separate Word document, answer the questions below:
- What do you think works well about your essay?
- What would you improve?
