Overview
This assignment will start your work to build toward your Final Research paper due at the end of module 8. Your Final Research paper is designed to demonstrate your ability to conduct an in-depth (evidence) based examination of a topic related to this class. For the final, you will be able to select from a short list of cases, then examine that case through the lens (perspective) of one of the major criminological theories we have covered in this course.
For this assignment, review the instructions and list of cases on for the Final Research paper in module 8.
- Identify the case you want to write about
- Provide a short case summary
- you can use this in the final but will need to expand on the summary in the final
- Identify the theory you plan on using and explain why you believe this is the most applicable theory
This assignment must be:
- Must be a minimum of 300 words (not including title and reference pages)

- Must include a separate title page with the following:
- Title of Paper
- Student’s name
- Course name and number
- Instructor’s name
- Date submitted

- Must include an introduction, with a thesis statement and conclusion paragraph.
- Must use at least two (2) scholarly, peer-reviewed, or other credible sources. At least 1 of these sources must come from the course required resources.
