Overview
1. Pick your topic
Choose ONE:
A specific population (like elderly, immigrants, college students), OR
A specific mental health condition (like depression, anxiety, PTSD)
2. Do your research
Find 5–8 peer-reviewed articles and gather your info. (Make sure you use the information from those articles to make the powerpoint and make sure to include a citation slide at the end of the powerpoint with the references)
3. Organize your content
If population → demographics, common issues, access to care, barriers, social factors, laws, improvements
If condition → causes, symptoms, treatment, who it affects most, policies, improvements
4. Make the slides
DO NOT make them too wordy
Use bullet points, not paragraphs
5. Add NOTES under each slide (THIS IS IMPORTANT)
Click the notes section under each slide in PowerPoint
Write what you’re actually going to say
These notes are DIFFERENT from your slides
Slides = short points
Notes = full explanation/script
6. Make sure its about 25-30 slides total
