Info: What is a Weekly Article?
In the second half of the semester, I will ask you to come up with an area of interest (in the content creation world, you might call it a “brand”) around which you will write a short 500-word piece about that topic EVERY WEEK. Rather than submitting it to me via Brightspace, however, you will publish these articles live on the Internet. Substack and Medium are the two platforms I would recommend, but I’m also open to suggestions. The main goal is to create a sustained place that you can publish and post your work for a specific audience of followers. Two of these articles will turn into final drafts that you submit for a grade. A curated series of these articles will be revised for the Final Portfolio. If you are not comfortable using your real name, you may come up with a pseudonym or pen name to conceal your identity. The only requirement is that the site and the work on it be discoverable by anyone on the Internet. No AI tolerance. SUBMIT to Brightspace: one revised final draft of one of the weekly articles written during that assignment period. For “Part One” (Due April 10) you can choose from articles #1-3 and for “Part Two” (Due May 1) you can choose from #4-6.
So realistically I need one for part one and one for part two
